Che diavolo vuol dire penalty declined su un delay of Game? Non ci sono le canoniche 5 yards di penalità?

At any level of football, ANY penalty may be declined by the offended team. The reason why we almost never see false starts and delay of game penalties get declined is because officials will blow the play dead when the see those infractions because they are what we call dead ball fouls. Dead ball fouls occur between plays, so they must be whistled down without the play running. Since no play happens, the defense isn't able to make a play that would benefit them over a penalty, so there is no reason for them to decline the penalty.
In addition, a coach has the option to decline the penalty yardage but accept the loss of down if the opposing team commits a loss of down penalty (Intentional Grounding). This is a rule that is unknown by many coaches because a scenario where exercising such an option is unheard of, but it does exist in the rulebook.

Si in effetti c’era convenienza a rifiutarla, non sapevo che si potesse su un delay e non lo avevo mai visto in precedenza :)
Intanto Houston si sta avvicinando va a finire che recuperano e altri over time come all’andata
